Mallory Sigmon

Mallory Sigmon, ISA is a fine art and antiques appraiser with Heirloom Estates who brings over 1,300 hours of hands-on appraisal experience developed under the direct mentorship of Lisa Schick Hudspeth, ISA-CAPP. This rigorous, apprenticeship-style training has provided her with deep, practical exposure to the valuation of fine art, antiques, and residential contents and has shaped a disciplined, standards-driven approach to appraisal practice. 

Her experience encompasses the full scope of the appraisal process, including on-site inspection, inventory and documentation, condition assessment, market research, and valuation analysis. Working closely with senior leadership, she has refined her ability to identify appropriate markets, develop and analyze comparable data, and produce well-supported Fair Market Value and Replacement Cost conclusions. Mallory's methodical process emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and adherence to professional standards, ensuring credible and defensible appraisal reports. 

Mallory also serves as an antiques e-commerce and digital marketing consultant, working with established dealers to photograph, research, price, and market inventory across platforms such as Chairish, Etsy, Shopify, and Square. This ongoing exposure to real time market behavior strengthens her practical understanding of demand, pricing dynamics, and presentation. 

As the spouse of a Naval officer, Mallory brings a strong sense of professionalism grounded in integrity, accountability, and service.  Extensive travel has further shaped her adaptability, independence, and cultural perspective -- qualities that inform her approach to evaluating personal property and understanding its broader historical and market context. 

Mallory has completed the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) Core Course in Appraisal Studies and the 15-Hour USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) course, and she is committed to ongoing professional development. She approaches her career with clear intentionality -- investing in education, adhering to professional standards, and continuously refining her skills to produce credible, high-quality appraisal work. 

In her free time, Mallory enjoys traveling, hiking with her husband and Cardigan Welsh Corgi, cooking and baking, and playing mah jongg.
