Lisa Schick HudspethLisa is the owner and founder of Heirloom Estates, LLC, bringing more than 35 years of experience in fine art, antiques, business management, and personal property appraisal. She specializes in fine art, antiques, and residential contents appraisals, as well as estate liquidation services, and is known for guiding clients with clarity, discretion, and empathy during significant life transitions.
Lisa holds a degree in Art from Duke University and an MBA from UNC–Chapel Hill. Her early career included positions with the Smithsonian’s Museum of American Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, followed by a senior marketing leadership role with a Fortune 25 company. She is USPAP-compliant and a Certified Accredited Appraiser through the International Society of Appraisers. Under Lisa’s leadership, Heirloom Estates has become a trusted resource for high-value estates over the past decades. Her approach goes beyond traditional local or wholesale liquidation channels—leveraging a national network of auction houses and collectors to maximize client returns. This strategic perspective, combined with her background managing large-scale corporate initiatives and negotiating eight-figure licensing deals, sets her apart in the appraisal industry. Lisa has authored and presented continuing legal education courses for the North Carolina Bar Association, contributed to museum and professional partnerships, and written the widely recognized “What’s It Worth?” appraisal column featured in regional publications. She is a frequent speaker for civic, legal, and cultural organizations and serves as a mentor for new appraisers through the International Society of Appraisers. She stays actively involved in her community through volunteer work with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, including international service builds, as well as ongoing support of museum and nonprofit initiatives. In her free time, Lisa loves to travel, throw pottery, and spend quality time with her husband and German Shorthaired Pointer, her children, and her three beautiful grandchildren. |
